Open Education Week Event in Delft a big success

Yesterday I organised the European Open Education Week Event in Delft. We had an interesting line-up of speakers: Dutch State Secretary for Education Halbe Zijlstra, President of the OpenCourseWare Consortium Anka Mulder, UNESCO Chair for OER Fred Mulder, Director Knowledge of Dutch Ministry of Education Arnold Jonk, Chair Netherlands National Commission for UNESCO Greetje van den Berg and a video message of European Commissioner Neelie Kroes.

The room was filled with 100 people from more than 30 different organisation. Not only academics, but also people from companies and even some journalists. The event was also live broadcasted on internet. 97 persons watched (part of) the event online.

During the reception I heard lots of enthousiastic reactions about the event, so hopefully all those universities will start with Open Educational Resources or OpenCourseWare.

To view the recordings of the event, you can find them on our website opencourseware.eu.
